You’ve spent 45 minutes editing a reel, stared at it, deleted it, and left it in drafts again.
But what if you’re not overthinking your content? What if you’re overthinking being seen?
Trish calls out the real reason you’re stuck in perfection mode: it’s not the hook, the lighting, or the B-roll. It’s the fear of judgment, exposure, and putting yourself out there boldly.
From her own obsession with perfect scrubs + lighting to her client who posted an unpolished reel and made more sales than her hours-long edits, Trish shows exactly why overthinking disappears when certainty increases. Your income will always rise to the level of your certainty. Stop editing for safety. Start posting with conviction.
💡 What You’ll Learn Inside This Episode
- Why overthinking isn’t tactical – it’s emotional and identity-based (fear of judgment, peers, family seeing it)
- The twin-breastfeeding client story: The “imperfect” reel she almost deleted brought in more sales than her polished ones
- You don’t overthink safe 3-tip carousels – you overthink bold positioning, price, and sales language
- How to shift from “how do I look?” to “does she feel seen?” changed everything for Labor Nurse Mama
- Certainty formula: Clear BFE + simple pain-pill offer + repeated messaging + data = no more drafts

“You don’t overthink safe content. You overthink bold positioning, price declarations, sales invitations.”

Have you ever spent 45 minutes editing a reel only to post it and then stare at and think?
Trish:Oh my gosh, it's horrible.
Trish:What if you're not overthinking your content?
Trish:What if you're overthinking being seen?
Trish:Let's talk about that.
Trish:Welcome back to Sold Out Sales School.
Trish:I'm Trish Ware seven figure founder who built an audience of over 750,000 through connection.
Trish:I help you become known and sell out your offers through live micro experiences.
Trish:And today we're naming something that almost every woman in business struggles with overthinking.
Trish:You think you need a better hook, better lighting, better microphone, better, B roll, better angles, more time.
Trish:But here's the truth.
Trish:You are not overthinking your content.
Trish:You're overthinking exposure.
Trish:And until you understand that, you will keep sitting on drafts.
Trish:If overthinking were strategic, it would go away.
Trish:Once you learn strategy, but you know some strategy, you hopefully are speaking to your BFE, your best fan ever, you're calling out her problem.
Trish:You're agitating the implication, you're selling the outcome.
Trish:You're including a CTA.
Trish:You should know this if you hang out with me.
Trish:So why does it still take you an hour to post?
Trish:Because overthinking is not tactical, it's emotional, it's identity based, it's certainty based.
Trish:And let me give you a real example.
Trish:I have a client in a very specific niche.
Trish:She teaches twin breastfeeding.
Trish:She has around 35,000 to 40,000 followers.
Trish:Strong, niche, clear expertise.
Trish:But she was over perfecting everything, every reel, every caption, every angle.
Trish:She had this one reel sitting in her drafts.
Trish:It was specific, it was simple.
Trish:It was good.
Trish:She created it in a few minutes, but she left it there 'cause she didn't think it was good enough.
Trish:Now I tell all my clients, just post the darn thing.
Trish:I tell them all the time, get in, get out 15, 20 minutes tops.
Trish:We're not scrolling, we're not spiraling.
Trish:We're not peeping competitors unless it's intentional research.
Trish:One day she had zero time, no time to tweak, no time to obsess.
Trish:She posted it as is and that reel brought her in More sales.
Trish:Then her other reels that took her hours.
Trish:Why?
Trish:Because it was specific.
Trish:It was clear, it was direct.
Trish:She didn't over edit it into safety.
Trish:The thing she thought she needed fixing was the thing that converted.
Trish:And let's be honest, you don't overthink safe content.
Trish:You don't overthink three tip posts or educational carousels or neutral advice.
Trish:You overthink bold positioning.
Trish:Price declarations, sales invitations, identity claims.
Trish:You are not afraid of the algorithm.
Trish:You're afraid of judgment.
Trish:Maybe it's your peers, maybe it's your family, maybe it's friends.
Trish:Maybe it's someone disagreeing with you or someone unfollowing you because you took a hard line or someone you know.
Trish:Again, from your real life, seeing it, someone thinking you charge too much, that is exposure and exposure feels vulnerable.
Trish:I used to overthink every single piece of B-roll video, my hair, my makeup, my background, the lighting.
Trish:Should I wear scrubs or should I not wear scrubs?
Trish:The audio, the transitions, I thought it all needed to be perfect and then I realized something, nobody cares about me in the video.
Trish:They don't care if I have laundry in the background.
Trish:They care about where they are and where they want to go.
Trish:So when I shifted from, how do I look to, does she feel seen?
Trish:Everything changed when I started making sure there was a clear visual hook, a strong verbal hook, a specific situation, a clear outcome, I stopped obsessing over perfection.
Trish:Sales became consistent high five figure months for labor nurse mama, not because the content was prettier, because it was clear.
Trish:Now I schedule.
Trish:The month I get in, I execute, I get out.
Trish:I don't overthink the audio.
Trish:I don't overthink the transitions.
Trish:I don't sit on drafts.
Trish:I trust the stinking process, and that trust removes my hesitation.
Trish:Overthinking disappears when certainty increases.
Trish:When you are certain who you help, the problem you solve, the result you deliver, the price you charge, the authority you hold, you post.
Trish:You don't rewrite it five times.
Trish:Most women don't need better copy.
Trish:They need stronger conviction.
Trish:Conviction comes from clarity, repetition, proof.
Trish:Feedback.
Trish:It's all data.
Trish:Data makes decisions.
Trish:Decisions make dollars, not inspiration, not your emotions.
Trish:So what overthinking.
Trish:Commonly looks like is you sit down, you write, you delete, you soften the CTA, you overexplain, you overed it, you hesitate.
Trish:You are looking, is anybody else doing this?
Trish:Oh, what did she do this week?
Trish:Maybe I should do that.
Trish:You spiral and you don't freaking post, and the next day you come back and you do it again.
Trish:That is not strategy.
Trish:That's nervous.
Trish:System plus identity, confidence doesn't come before action.
Trish:It comes from repetition, repetition.
Trish:Gives you data.
Trish:Repetition builds momentum.
Trish:Momentum builds certainty and certainty eliminates overthinking.
Trish:You Don't solve overthinking.
Trish:With more Canva templates, buying more courses, listening to tons of different gurus,
Trish:you solve it by knowing your clear BFE, your best fan ever.
Trish:A simple pain pill offer repeated messaging, data, feedback decision.
Trish:Guessing creates overthinking.
Trish:Data creates direction, and direction creates confidence.
Trish:And confidence creates speed, and money loves speed.
Trish:This is why building alone is exhausting.
Trish:You're trying to create conviction in isolation.
Trish:So inside the Sold Out offer challenge, we tighten your BFE, we clarify your offer, and we simplify your messaging.
Trish:Inside the Mastermind, we refine weekly, we look at the data, we remove the guesswork.
Trish:When someone can say, post this, cut, that lead with this overthinking naturally decreases, not because you're more inspired, because you're more certain.
Trish:So next time you're sitting on a draft, ask yourself, am I overthinking the content?
Trish:Am I hesitating to be seen?
Trish:Am I editing for clarity?
Trish:Am I listening to too many voices?
Trish:Or am I editing to avoid judgment Because the real, my client almost didn't post, made her so many sales.
Trish:The B-roll that I used to obsess over didn't matter.
Trish:Your income will always rise to the level of your certainty.
Trish:I want you to let that land.
Trish:Your income will always rise to the level of your certainty.
Trish:If you're tired of second guessing, tired of sitting on drafts, tired of softening your sales language, stop building alone.
Trish:I would love to work with you.
Trish:You always can apply.
Trish:We do protect the space, so you have to apply to work with me, and that's trish ware coaching.com/apply.
Trish:Or you can come to the next sold out offer challenge where I do my live micro experience, which is my jam and what I teach my clients.
Trish:But here's what I know.
Trish:Action takers are money makers.
Trish:You are not bad.
Trish:You are just under certain.
Trish:Let's get you to certainty,
Trish:okay?
Trish:I want you to do me a favor and take a little bit of action right now and leave a review.
Trish:Tell me what landed.
Trish:Let me know.
