The 4 Types of Buyers Your Content Is Accidentally Ignoring

If your content feels like it’s falling flat – valuable but not converting – this episode is the missing piece. Trish reveals the #1 reason B2C creators stay stuck: they’re accidentally ignoring 3 out of 4 buyer types in their audience.

From unaware moms Googling at 2AM to ready-to-buy parents scrolling for proof, Trish breaks down the 4 buyer personas (Unaware Uma, Lurker Linda, Hesitant Hailey, Ready Rachel) and the exact content mix that speaks to ALL of them. No more “educational content is dead” BS from B2B coaches – this is how you strategically educate, connect, and convert moms who need real help, not ROI frameworks.

Get ready to audit your feed, flip your strategy, and finally bridge the gap from “likes” to “buy now” before 2026 hits.

💡 What You’ll Learn Inside This Episode

  • The 4 buyer types in your audience – and why ignoring any one keeps your offers from selling
  • Why educational content ISN’T dead for B2C (and how other coaches get this totally wrong for mom-focused brands)
  • How to mix educational (40-50%), emotional (30-40%), and authority (20-30%) content to move buyers from unaware to ready
  • Real examples for each buyer: from answering 2AM Google searches to sharing client wins that seal the deal
  • The B.R.E.A.K. formula: Be Seen, Right the Wrong, Envision Hope, Anchor Authority, Knock Down the Gap – to bridge content straight to sales
  • Why moms buy on trust + proof (not tax write-offs) and how to create content that hand-holds them to “yes”
  • Quick audit: Check your last 9 posts and tweak for balance – plus when to post daily vs. 3-4x/week

🔥 Mic-Drop Moments

“Education gets them in the door. Connection keeps them. Authority gets them to buy. Period.”

“Moms aren’t entrepreneurs – they’re thinking, ‘Will this help my family? Can I trust her?'”

“Don’t listen to coaches who’ve only sold to other coaches. Educational content isn’t dead – you just need to use it strategically.”

🧘🏽‍♀️ Quick Reflections for Your Next CEO Reset

  1. Which of the 4 buyer types (Unaware Uma, Lurker Linda, Hesitant Hailey, Ready Rachel) am I accidentally ignoring in my content?
  2. What’s my current content mix – educational, emotional, authority – and where do I need to balance it?
  3. If I audited my last 9 posts, how many actually bridge to my offer vs. just “dropping value”?
  4. Am I using the B.R.E.A.K. formula to strategically educate, connect, and convert – or just posting to post?

Trish:

Let me guess your posting content, maybe even consistently, you're dropping value bombs.

Trish:

You're sharing tips, you're creating reels, you're writing thoughtful captions.

Trish:

You are doing everything the Instagram gurus told you to do, and yet nothing selling.

Trish:

Your dms are quiet, your offers aren't moving, and you're starting to wonder if maybe.

Trish:

You just need a bigger audience or a prettier feed, or maybe you're just not meant to make money online, but here's what's actually happening.

Trish:

Your content is not bad, it's just not connecting.

Trish:

You're speaking, but there's nobody listening.

Trish:

You're teaching and there's nobody buying, and the reason has nothing to do with your audience size and everything to do with who you're actually talking to or more accurately who you're not talking to.

Trish:

After teaching multiple women.

Trish:

And building my own seven figure business, talking to moms and 709,000 plus followers across the platforms.

Trish:ling and how to fix it before:Trish:

And getting nowhere.

Trish:

Welcome back to Sold Out Sales School.

Trish:

I am Trish Ware, a labor and delivery nurse, turned seven figure business owner selling to moms.

Trish:

If you've been showing up, creating content and wondering why is nothing converting this episode is going to change everything for you.

Trish:

Okay.

Trish:

Grab a cup of coffee, get a cup of tea, whatever it is.

Trish:

But I want you to listen today because here's what you're hearing.

Trish:

Everywhere educational content is dead.

Trish:

Stop teaching for free.

Trish:

Just tell stories and sell.

Trish:

But I'm here to tell you and listen, I get it.

Trish:

I get why coaches are saying this because when you are selling to other entrepreneurs.

Trish:

To coaches, to business owners, they don't need more tips.

Trish:

They need connection, authority, and action.

Trish:

But you, my friend, are not selling to entrepreneurs.

Trish:

You're selling to moms, to parents, to real people, people who are Googling answers at 2:00 AM.

Trish:

While their baby is screaming in the background to women who are searching how to get my toddler to sleep, or how to prepare for labor, or how to start solids with my baby.

Trish:

You are selling to women who need help.

Trish:

They need the education.

Trish:

They want the education.

Trish:

They need to know that you know what the heck you're talking about.

Trish:

They're drowning in questions.

Trish:

They don't know what they don't know, and there's an extra layer to our marketing that other coaches don't understand, and if you're not too.

Trish:

Teaching them, they're going to find someone who will.

Trish:

Their problem isn't that you are creating educational content.

Trish:

The problem is you are creating only educational content or only stories or only authority content, and that only lands with one type of buyer.

Trish:

And here's what I see in most B2C content.

Trish:

Educational posts after educational posts or no educational posts, they're showing tips and strategies on how tos and lists.

Trish:

And it's all valuable.

Trish:

It's all helpful, but it's missing the other two content types that actually move people to buy.

Trish:

Because here's the truth for selling to moms and parents.

Trish:

Education gets them in the door.

Trish:

Connection keeps them.

Trish:

Authority gets them to buy.

Trish:

Period.

Trish:

Period.

Trish:

You need all three, not just one type.

Trish:

So let's talk about buyer types.

Trish:

Your audience isn't one person, it's.

Trish:

Four completely different types of buyers, all at different stages, all needing different types of content.

Trish:

Number one, we're gonna say unaware.

Trish:

Uma, she is Googling questions right now.

Trish:

She doesn't even know you exist.

Trish:

She needs educational content.

Trish:

That answers her immediate questions.

Trish:

Now, if you position your offer to answer her biggest problem, biggest question, then you can sell to unaware Uma, but that's a whole nother episode.

Trish:

She needs educational content that answers her immediate question and introduces the bigger problem she didn't know she had.

Trish:

So let's do an example, right?

Trish:

So your post is wondering why your toddler won't sleep.

Trish:

Here's the one thing you are missing.

Trish:

And it's not what sleep consultants usually talk about.

Trish:

Most parents focus on bedtime routines, but the real issue is daytime sleep pressure.

Trish:

Let me explain.

Trish:

Now you see what happened.

Trish:

You answered her Google question.

Trish:

You positioned yourself as the expert.

Trish:

You introduced a concept.

Trish:

She has no idea existed.

Trish:

Now her curiosity is peaked.

Trish:

What else does this lady know?

Trish:

That I don't know.

Trish:

Educational content for real people isn't dead, period.

Trish:

I don't care what anyone's saying.

Trish:

It's your discovery engine.

Trish:

That's how she finds you.

Trish:

Now, let's talk about lurker Linda.

Trish:

L or Linda found you through your educational content now.

Trish:

She's been watching you for months.

Trish:

She reads every caption.

Trish:

She saves your post, but never comments.

Trish:

She's out there but you don't know about her.

Trish:

She needs more educational content mixed with emotional connection.

Trish:

That proves you know your stuff and that you are a real person, a real human that she can trust.

Trish:

So she's lurking and watching.

Trish:

So here's an example for her.

Trish:

Here's the truth about newborn sleep that nobody tells you until you're drowning in exhaustion.

Trish:

You see that?

Trish:

Right there, your baby isn't broken.

Trish:

The advice you're getting is most sleep training methods were designed for older babies, not newborns.

Trish:

Here's what actually works for the first 12 weeks now, if you see, you are still teaching, but now you're also validating her struggle and positioning yourself as the person with different better answers.

Trish:

AKA.

Trish:

The expert, now hesitant.

Trish:

Hailey.

Trish:

Hesitant.

Trish:

Haley knows she has a problem and she's learned enough from your free content to know you have the solution.

Trish:

But she's scared she's been burned before.

Trish:

She needs emotional content to feel understood, to see that other women like her have succeeded to know this is possible for her.

Trish:

example would be.

Trish:

If you're the exhausted mom who's tried every sleep tip on the internet and nothing works, I see you.

Trish:

I was you with my first baby.

Trish:

I thought I was feeling that motherhood, because I couldn't figure out sleep, but here's what I learned.

Trish:

It wasn't me.

Trish:

It was bad advice.

Trish:

Once I understood how infant's sleep actually works, everything changed.

Trish:

If I figured this out after 16 years as a labor nurse, you can too.

Trish:

Now you're connecting, not just teaching ready, Rachel.

Trish:

She knows she has a problem and she's ready to buy.

Trish:

She just needs to know why she should buy from you.

Trish:

She needs the authority, content, proof, results, testimonies.

Trish:

Behind the scenes clear offer example for her would be something like, after helping hundreds of moms get their babies sleeping through the night, here's what I know works, blah, blah, blah.

Trish:

Share your framework, share your system, and.

Trish:

Inside my program, you're gonna talk about your program.

Trish:

You're gonna say what she gets and what that does for her.

Trish:

Not, you're not gonna go module by module, but what's the outcome?

Trish:

Like?

Trish:

Outcome focus.

Trish:

Like what is the outcome that she gets?

Trish:

Right?

Trish:

Baby sleeping better in seven days or less.

Trish:

Here's how to join direct, confident, and clear.

Trish:

Here's what other business coaches get wrong.

Trish:

They teach you strategies that work for selling to other business owners, entrepreneurs.

Trish:

And they expect them to work for selling to moms.

Trish:

But moms are not entrepreneurs.

Trish:

They're not thinking in terms of ROI or tax write-offs.

Trish:

They're thinking, will this actually help my family?

Trish:

Can I trust this person?

Trish:

Is this worth the money that I could use to buy groceries?

Trish:

That's why educational content isn't dead for B2C because your moms are still Googling, they're still searching, they're learning, and if you stop teaching them, they'll find someone else who will and they'll buy from them.

Trish:

Instead.

Trish:

The difference between you and the free content they find on Google, you're teaching strategically.

Trish:

You're using education to build trust and take them across the bridge to your offer.

Trish:

And there's several types of content that I want you to think about, but educational content should be a foundation if you're selling to consumers.

Trish:

So we've got our educational content which answers their questions, shifts, beliefs, and you are gonna structure it a certain way, and this is what we teach inside the Content Mastery Mastermind.

Trish:

This type of content is how they find you.

Trish:

This is how you build your credibility.

Trish:

This is how you preview, actually know what you're talking about.

Trish:

The other type is inspirational, emotional.

Trish:

This is where you're gonna use stories, you're gonna build trust through stories, and you have a structure of struggle to story, to hope, to invitation that's best for hesitant.

Trish:

Hailey and lurker Linda, this is how they trust you.

Trish:

This is how they see themselves in your story or your client stories, and this is how they believe it's possible for them.

Trish:

The other type is authority content.

Trish:

This converts ready Rachel's, this is where you go from.

Trish:

Problem to proof to direct offer, no beating around the bush.

Trish:

This is how she buys.

Trish:

This is where you show results and share testimonies and make clear offers.

Trish:

Here's what I wanna know.

Trish:

Unaware.

Trish:

Uma becomes Luke or Linda becomes hesitant.

Trish:

Hailey becomes ready, Rachel.

Trish:

So you're always creating all of this content in a loop so that we are moving them through that.

Trish:

So I want you to go look at your last nine posts right now and ask yourself, how many are educational?

Trish:

You should be doing 40 to 50%.

Trish:

How many are emotional?

Trish:

This should be like 30 to 40% authority, 20 to 30%.

Trish:

If you have all educational and no authority content, you're teaching yourself out of sales.

Trish:

If you have no educational content because some coach told you it's dead, you're invisible to the moms who really need you.

Trish:

So stop being invisible.

Trish:

You need the right mix, not just one type.

Trish:

Now I teach the break formula inside of the Mastermind, and this is how we combine all these types of content into one path of getting her across the bridge.

Trish:

So the B for break is being seen.

Trish:

Call out your BFE exactly where she's stuck.

Trish:

You're drowning in conflicting advice about birth, right?

Trish:

One person says get epidural.

Trish:

Another says, go on medicated.

Trish:

Another says Try water.

Trish:

You are more confused than when you started.

Trish:

Call her out exactly where she is Now, the R is writing the wrong limiting beliefs, right?

Trish:

We need to flip what she's believing, challenge her limiting beliefs, and do that by saying, here's what nobody tells you.

Trish:

The problem is that you don't understand Blink.

Trish:

Right?

Trish:

So you are, it's not that.

Trish:

She's like drowning in all of this conflicting advice about labor, but she doesn't understand what's happening in her body and what she wants, right?

Trish:

So you're flipping her limiting beliefs so she can make the right choice.

Trish:

E is in vision.

Trish:

Paint the picture.

Trish:

Give her the hope.

Trish:

What is possible for her.

Trish:

The next part is, and, and that could look like something like, imagine walking into your birth, calm and confident, blah, blah, blah, right?

Trish:

A is anchoring your authority.

Trish:

Position yourself as the guide.

Trish:

You're gonna be, she has to be seen r you're going to, right the wrong.

Trish:

And then a is anchor the authority, position yourself as the person she needs, and you do that by claiming, like getting braggy.

Trish:

I always say, let down the humility and get braggy here.

Trish:

This is where you get braggy and K is knocking down the gap.

Trish:

You're gonna bring her to the offer where the offer is your micro experience.

Trish:

The offer is a lead magnet, or the offer is your offer.

Trish:

We want to position it.

Trish:

We're gonna do that.

Trish:

See how that works?

Trish:

You educated, explained the real problem.

Trish:

You connected emotionally.

Trish:

You validated her confusion.

Trish:

You showed her authority by establishing your credentials, and then you made a clear offer.

Trish:

That's the B2C content formula.

Trish:

And you can't use B2B.

Trish:

Every other business coach is missing that step.

Trish:

They want you to sell like you're selling to entrepreneurs, but you're not.

Trish:

Entrepreneurs are much easier to sell to moms buy based on trust and proof.

Trish:

Entrepreneurs want frameworks and systems and moms want that, but they wanna know that it's gonna work for them.

Trish:

Entrepreneurs are okay with figured out yourself content.

Trish:

Moms need handholding and step-by-step guidance, and this is why I'm a unicorn coach.

Trish:

I'm the only one teaching B2C content strategy.

Trish:

Educational content is not dead.

Trish:

You just need to use it strategically as part of your content system.

Trish:

And here's what works for me and my clients selling to moms and parents.

Trish:

You can mix it up and you create your content calendar and you show up consistently.

Trish:

If you wanna be in a growth phase.

Trish:

Post every day if you wanna be in a momentum phase post three to four times a a week.

Trish:

But I recommend that you should stay posting every other day.

Trish:

I don't post on Sunday usually, unless it's a repost and you always present a clear offer.

Trish:

This is why Content Mastery Mastermind exists because every other business program teaches you strategies for selling to entrepreneurs, period.

Trish:

I will stand on that.

Trish:

I'm teaching you how to sell to real people, and the playbook is different.

Trish:

Inside the Mastermind, you're gonna learn how to create content that builds trust, not just friend zones.

Trish:

How to identify which of the Ford buyer types you're speaking to and how to rotate through your content types.

Trish:

I'll teach you how to build your micro experience, how to build out your offer and how to sell it.

Trish:d then you get every month of:Trish:
