It’s Supposed to Feel Scary at First – Do It Anyway

Let’s talk about that tight, shaky feeling in your chest when you’re about to post something bold.

The fear when you raise your prices.

The nerves when you finally show up and say what you really want to say…

That’s not a sign to stop. That’s a signal you’re growing.

In this identity-rich episode of Sold Out Sales School, I’m walking you through why discomfort is actually a green light in your business—and how to stop mistaking growth for danger.

You’ll learn:

🔥 The difference between fear and expansion (and how to tell which one you’re feeling)

🔥 Why staying “comfortable” is keeping you broke, burnt out, and invisible

🔥 How I built a 7-figure brand by showing up messy, scared, and certain anyway

🔥 The truth about selling, leading, and speaking from your next-level self—before it feels easy

This is for the woman who’s been feeling the pull to go bigger…

but keeps waiting to feel more “ready.”

Newsflash: readiness is a decision, not a feeling.

Trish: [:

You tried the big name coaches, but their strategies weren't built for your audience. Here we do sales differently. No bro marketing. No cold dms, no weird hooks. No fake urgency, just clear messaging aligned offers and strategy that actually converts. You're not here to hustle harder and miss all your family events.

y. So let's get you sold out.[:

Okay, so we are gonna talk about the reality of growth. Okay, so we're gonna talk about that gut-wrenching, awkward, terrifying reality of when you go into a growth period and why the first time you sell your offer it, it feels like this.

have to get comfortable with [:

So you have to learn how to. Work through that. Because even in life in normal things and parenting and building a business, yes, the thought becomes overwhelming, but we have to break that down and we have to learn how to step through that feeling of discomfort and that feeling of this feels awful because selling is going to feel awful at first unless you're just a natural salesperson.

doing a podcast, about doing [:

Something scary and bad, your body's gonna do everything it can. Your mind is gonna do everything it can to keep you in that. Homeostasis spot, which will not help your business grow. So when we try to put our stuff in front of, real people, and we're saying, buy this, offer your nervous system.

This is like your nervous system's worst nightmare. I. You're literally telling your brain, let's go face judgment. Let's go face rejection. Let's go face potential failure. Yes, let's do it and, and do it on purpose, but your brain is like hell to the no. It doesn't care that you're launching something incredible that will impact lives.

u are going to possibly face [:

Thinking about it, you build confidence by doing it. Scared. So I want you guys to put sticky notes, like I've got little things all over my office. Do it scared. Just do it. Just do it. Just do it. That's what you have to do. So let's talk about, I'm gonna take you guys back to my very first big leap. Okay?

I'm gonna take you back to when I launched my birth classes. I have been a nurse for 16 years. I knew birth inside and out. But the moment I decided I was gonna sell a birth course, my hands were shaking, my knees were weak. My brain is like, who are you? Who are you to do this? Like, how are you gonna do this?

You don't know [:

I wanted to teach my children all these things. My nervous system is like, now don't do it. And that is our, like our state of cognitive dissonance, right? Where even though we know something might be better, we stay where we are because it's comfortable to our nervous system. And so even though my brain was like, who are you to teach this?

Who are you to do this? You're just a, you're a mama, seven, you're a nurse. Who are you to go online and grow this business? I did it anyway, and here's what happens. I showed up, I did my lives, I launched some stuff and nothing sold. So that's just reaffirming to my nervous system. That my nervous system was right.

My nervous system was right. [:

I went into a season of movement and I chose movement over hiding, and I built a new normal. And now that birth class is taught over 15 K women. But imagine, if you will, I had listened to my nervous system. I had not taken action. I had stayed still. I worried about showing up live and having. Eyeliner on my face or my hair not being perfect or not sounding perfect, and I believed all that my brain was saying.

seven figure business owner [:

So if you're fearful about launching your offer, if you're fearful about selling your offer, if you're fearful about starting a business as you, if you're fearful about scaling your business or refining your offer so that it does sell. It's not gonna feel comfortable. Just get used to that. Just say to yourself like, I feel uncomfortable.

, and our body wants to move [:

It's why we stay in dead end jobs. This is why we stay in business ruts. This is why because the unknown feels risky, and even when the known is killing your dreams and your goals and not helping you reach that vision board, then guess what? You're not gonna go anywhere. And Tony Robbins said that most people tiptoe through life hoping to make it safely to death.

We tiptoe towards death. Why not run hard? Why not go hard? Why not take big, bold movements until death? Right? Why not do all the challenging things? Why not try all the things that make us uncomfortable? Not you. You're not here to tiptoe. You are not here to tiptoe because it feels uncomfortable.

onsistently and beginning to [:

She was burnt out to launching a business and making $10,000 in one day. One day, and I've seen my clients say literally crying after that first live because they broke through that feeling of uncomfortable and that feeling of there being nobody on their life. You know what? I did it for months on labor, nurse mama, and it was uncomfortable.

But you know what? That uncomfortable led to a new life for me that I could have never hoped or imagined. God could, but I couldn't. So when you move through. The fear, you're gonna start in discomfort. You're gonna feel uncomfortable. If it doesn't feel uncomfortable, you're not taking enough action, you're not doing enough, right?

t like doom. Again, fear and [:

Do it. Scared. Henry Ford said, failure is simply now I want you guys to let this land I. Failure is simply the opportunity to begin again. So, so what if you fail? If you're sitting there like, I really wanna create this offer. I really wanna change my offer. I really wanna up my prices. I really wanna do A, B, and C, but I'm so scared it won't work.

is this real danger or is it [:

Because discomfort means growth because discover means this is what it is, right? Discomfort is a sign that you're not on. Repeat that you're on the rise. This is why my highest level mastermind is called She Rises Fiercely because to rise fiercely to create a seven figure business, to create five figure months on repeat, you're gonna have to go through the discomfort.

You're gonna be discomfort. You have to be uncomfortable all the time. All the time. But it ain't so uncomfortable to get a five figure drop into your bank account in the morning. Before you wake up, that is worth the fear. That's worth the discomfort. So I want you to write down the thought that is creating fear for you right now.

irst action. Okay. You know, [:

So here's the thing, queen, if it feels heavy, if it feels scary, if it feels awkward, if it feels unnatural, that's because it's new fear and discomfort. Don't hold hands. You don't need to feel comfortable to do the things, to take the actions. In fact, the more uncomfortable you feel, the more growth you're going to get.

That's because it's new for you, right? And it's not because it's wrong. And the one who sells out her offer, she doesn't quit. That is my superpower. Never give her upper. I don't quit. I learn and I pivot. And I course correct. And the one who sells out her offer, she's not the most confident. She does show up with confidence from failing.

tent and committed. I. So we [:
