In this episode, Trish breaks down the real reason your audience isn’t buying yet – and spoiler: it has nothing to do with your offer, your price, or your content quality.
If you’re a coach, course creator, or service provider who sells to moms or parents, and you’ve ever posted consistently for weeks only to hear crickets, this episode is going to completely reframe how you see your audience and your timeline.
Trish introduces Google’s 7-11-4 Rule – the research-backed framework that explains exactly how trust is built before a buyer says yes. She shares how she ran the same live event every six to eight weeks for three years and watched women come back again and again before finally buying – and why that wasn’t failure. That was the math working. Your buyer isn’t ignoring you. She’s just not at Hour 7 yet.
💡 What You’ll Learn Inside This Episode
- What the 7-11-4 Rule is and why it changes everything about how you show up
- Why your audience saying “not yet” is completely different from saying “no”
- How Trish ran the same event for three years – and why repetition is a strategy, not laziness
- The four locations you need to show up in (and what actually counts as a touchpoint)
- Why follow-up after your micro experience is where the money is hiding
- How every piece of content you create after someone enters your world is moving her closer to “yes”
🔥 Mic-Drop Moments
“Your buyer is not saying no. She’s saying not yet.”
“One reel is one touchpoint. She needs 11. You’re quitting at three.”
“You are not being repetitive. You’re becoming trustworthy – and trustworthy is what will sell your offer.”
🧘🏽♀️ Quick Reflections for Your Next CEO Reset
- Where am I in my audience’s 7-11-4 journey – am I giving her enough time and touchpoints to build trust?
- What are my four locations, and am I actually showing up in all of them consistently?
- Where am I leaving money on the table by not following up with the women who showed up but didn’t buy?

Let me ask you something.
Trish:Have you ever had someone follow you for months, maybe even longer?
Trish:And then one day they show up in your DMs and they're like, "Okay, I'm ready.
Trish:How do I buy?" And you think, "Where in the actual?" It didn't come from nowhere.
Trish:It came from every single touchpoint that person had with you between the day they found you and the day they're finally ready.
Trish:the problem is most women are not staying in the game long enough to collect those touchpoints.
Trish:They post for a few weeks, they get frustrated, they decide it's not working, they ghost, then they start posting again, then they ghost right before a breakthrough.
Trish:So today I'm gonna give you the framework that explains exactly why your audience isn't buying yet, and it has nothing to do with your offer, your price, or your content quality.
Trish:It has to do with math and time and showing up in more than one place.
Trish:So here's the intro.
Trish:Welcome back to Sold out Sales School.
Trish:I am Trish and I'm a former labor and delivery nurse, mom of seven, homeschooling mama.
Trish:And I have two seven figure businesses built by being me, being the expert, and knowing how to speak directly to her main problems, the things she's feeling so that she feels seen.
Trish:So this is episode seven of a nine episode, little series, I guess.
Trish:we're getting closer to the finish line.
Trish:Everything we have covered in this series has been building to this because understanding what I'm about to teach you is the difference between a woman who quits right before her business breaks wide open and a woman who stays the course long enough to see what she's actually built.
Trish:So let's go.
Trish:From:Trish:And it was called the Fearless Birth Experience.
Trish:It was a five-day live event where I taught pregnant mamas exactly what they needed to know to feel prepared, empowered, and fearless going into their birth.
Trish:Same event, same content, same offer at the end, every six to eight weeks.
Trish:And here's what I watched happen consistently, almost without exception.
Trish:Women would come to the first one and maybe even the second one and not buy.
Trish:And they would leave having gotten tremendous value and feeling like they, they met me and they learned so much from me.
Trish:They would tell us in our DMs and in the comments and in the chat how amazing it was, but they didn't buy.
Trish:then six or eight weeks later, I would promote the next one and some of those same women would come back, they would show up again, they'd get more value, connect with me, experience my teaching again.
Trish:And some of them would buy that second time and some of them didn't.
Trish:Then I would promote the next one and some of them came a third time.
Trish:And by the third time, almost every single one of them bought.
Trish:Or they didn't even wait for the event.
Trish:They saw the promotion, they remembered how much they got from the last one, and they knew that I would open cart on the day three, and they would buy.
Trish:And here's what's happening that I want you to understand.
Trish:Those women were not saying no, they were just saying, "Not yet." And especially for pregnant women.
Trish:So if that's your market, think about it.
Trish:A woman at eight weeks is not in the same head space as a woman at 32 weeks pregnant.
Trish:She's not ready to invest in birth prep the same way.
Trish:Life is different.
Trish:Urgency is different.
Trish:Budget is different.
Trish:Mental bandwidth is different.
Trish:She was not a bad lead.
Trish:She was not the wrong buyer.
Trish:She just wasn't ready.
Trish:And I didn't make any assumptions on that.
Trish:I didn't decide what that would look like, right?
Trish:And I kept showing up because I kept running the same event, kept promoting it, kept being in her world when she was ready.
Trish:And, you know, I was running ads, so she was getting retargeted, which is a huge part of my strategy.
Trish:I was right there.
Trish:I was the first person she thought of.
Trish:I was the one she trusted because she had experienced me multiple times.
Trish:I was always on her radar.
Trish:And that, my friend, is a 7-Eleven four rule in real life.
Trish:So here's the framework.
Trish:Google's research found that before a buyer makes a purchase decision, they need approximately seven hours of engagement with your brand across 11 different touchpoints in four separate locations.
Trish:Seven hours, 11 touchpoints, four locations.
Trish:Now, I want you to let that land for a second because most of you are posting one reel, getting 300 views, making zero sales, and then deciding your offer isn't working.
Trish:Your offer is fine.
Trish:Your buyer just hasn't spent enough time with you yet.
Trish:She hasn't spent seven hours with you yet.
Trish:She hasn't hit 11 touchpoints.
Trish:She's only hit two or three.
Trish:She's only found you in one place.
Trish:She's not ready.
Trish:Not because she doesn't want what you have, but because trust takes time and exposure to build, and you are not giving her enough of either.
Trish:So let me break this down practically.
Trish:Seven hours of engagement does not mean she watches a seven-hour webinar.
Trish:It means she accumulates time with you where she spent consuming your content, watching your lives, listening to your podcast, reading your captions, sitting in your micro experience, watching your stories.
Trish:All of it adds up seven hours total, spread across weeks or months.
Trish:Now, if it's live experiencing you, that's even better.
Trish:11 touchpoints means she needs to encounter you, your content or your offer, 11 separate times before her brain registers.
Trish:Enough familiarity to even think about saying yes.
Trish:One reel is one touchpoint.
Trish:One story mention of your offer is one touchpoint.
Trish:One podcast episode is one touchpoint.
Trish:One email is one touchpoint.
Trish:One live is one touchpoint.
Trish:11 of those before she buys.
Trish:Now, I want you to hear me.
Trish:I love a good meme.
Trish:A good theme that's not tied to your offer is not a touchpoint.
Trish:It's just fun, right?
Trish:So I'm talking about 11 mentions, 11 times that you've sold your offer.
Trish:11 of those before she buys.
Trish:And four locations means she needs to find you in four different places, not just Instagram.
Trish:Now, when I say this, hear me because I also tell you one platform for one year.
Trish:But I want you to think about your, not just your feed, your stories, and your feed, and your podcast, and your email list, and your lives, four distinct places.
Trish:So it can be Instagram, but just four different ways.
Trish:But it also can be being a guest on someone's podcast.
Trish:It can be being on your own podcast.
Trish:She just needs to experience you differently in a different frame or fashion.
Trish:That is why I wanna talk to you about something that really is frustrating.
Trish:And I say this with so much love for every Instagram guru out there who means well.
Trish:There are a lot of people teaching that reels are everything.
Trish:Just do reels.
Trish:Then there's the people who are saying, "Master the algorithm, you have to post, you know, just carousels and watch your business grow."
Trish:So here's what I'm, I wanna say to you.
Trish:Like, yes, reach matters, visibility matters, but reels alone cannot build the kind of trust that moves a mom buyer to spend money.
Trish:And here's why.
Trish:A reel is a touch point.
Trish:It's one touchpoint that lasts about, you know, eight seconds to 60.
Trish:It might get her to follow you and it might get her to save your content, but it does not give her the experience of you that makes her think, " This person is an expert that I wanna invest in.
Trish:So what builds trust, what builds that is going live.
Trish:Your podcast, getting on other people's podcasts, your micro experience, your stories, your email list, the follow-up sequence after someone attends your event.
Trish:These are the things that, accumulate touchpoints and create multiple touchpoints across multiple locations, and that will begin to teach her from just a follower into a buyer.
Trish:So I always tell my clients, just like the bell bottoms came back in style, you need to be doing all the things and not putting all your eggs in one basket.
Trish:So reels might be trendy, or right now actually carousels are, right?
Trish:So if you're doing all of them and you've got them in multiple places consistently, if you have your reels, if you have your carousels, if you have static images, if you're going lives, if you're going on podcasts, if you're in your stories, if you're sending a weekly email, you're never at the mercy of what the algorithm decides to favor that particular week.
Trish:You're building something that no platform update can take from you.
Trish:The next thing I wanna talk about is following up.
Trish:Following up is so important.
Trish:Like, it's so important because follow up is, you know, the same the fortune is in the followup.
Trish:So most people, they do their micro experience and no one buys, right?
Trish:Or someone does buy or some people don't buy and then they do nothing.
Trish:They move on and they start creating content for the next thing.
Trish:That woman who didn't buy is not gone.
Trish:She's so freaking warm.
Trish:And she showed up.
Trish:She gave you her time.
Trish:She experienced your teaching.
Trish:She's closer to buying than anyone else in your audience, and you are just forgetting about her because she didn't buy when you told her to.
Trish:The follow-up is where so much money gets left on the table.
Trish:So when I promoted the next fearless birth experience, I wasn't just talking to new people.
Trish:I was talking to the women who had already come.
Trish:And after each fearless birth experience, we followed up.
Trish:We had a series and we also DM'd them and we chatted with them, right?
Trish:So if they didn't buy in the follow-up, they were ready to buy at the next micro experience.
Trish:They had already accumulated the touchpoints.
Trish:They just needed a reminder, right?
Trish:Your follow-up is also a touchpoint.
Trish:Your next promotion is a touchpoint.
Trish:Your next podcast episode is a touchpoint.
Trish:Every single piece of content you create after someone enters your world is moving her closer to that seventh hour and the 11th touchpoint.
Trish:That is why consistency is not optional.
Trish:That is why showing up every day matters.
Trish:That is why doing the same darn micro experience over and over again instead of creating something new every single time is a strategy, not being lazy.
Trish:You are not being repetitive.
Trish:You're becoming trustworthy, and trustworthy is what will sell your offer.
Trish:So here's what I want you to walk away with today.
Trish:Your audience is not ignoring you.
Trish:Your buyer is out there.
Trish:She's accumulating.
Trish:She's building up the hours that she needs, the touchpoints she needs before her brain will let her say yes.
Trish:Your job is to stay in the game long enough to get her there.
Trish:So post today, even though you didn't get sales from me yesterday's post, run the same micro experience again, even though maybe nobody showed up.
Trish:I don't care.
Trish:Keep doing it, girl.
Trish:Send the follow-up email, even though you feel like you've already said it, send the follow-up DM. Get in touch with the people.
Trish:Show up on your podcast even though downloads feel slow.
Trish:She's counting.
Trish:She just hasn't reached 11 yet.
Trish:And the women who quit at Touchpoint seven, they will never know how close they were.
Trish:So stay in the game, show up in multiple places, follow up without apology, and trust that the math is mathing, even when you can't see it.
Trish:Next week, we're gonna talk about how to collapse that timeline faster than anything else you've ever tried.
Trish:So make sure you come because it is my jam.
Trish:It is my trademark, micro experience method, what they are, why they convert three times better than any piece of content you will ever post, and how to build yours, so don't miss it.
Trish:If this episode gave you permission to stop ghosting, stop quitting, subscribe so you never miss a week.
Trish:We have two episodes left in this particular series, and both of them are going to change how you run your business.
Trish:So share this with the woman who keeps saying her offer isn't working.
Trish:It might not be the offer.
Trish:It might just be the timeline.
Trish:So send her this episode.
Trish:And as always, I run Sold Out Offer Challenge every six to eight weeks, so make sure you go to Trishwarecoaching.com/soo and check out when the next one is, because I don't know when you're listening to this.
Trish:And it is going to change everything for you, especially if you are B2C and you sell to consumers, moms, parents.
Trish:Leave me a review.
Trish:Please take two minutes.
Trish:It means the world to me, and it helps more women find the show.
Trish:Remember, always support other female entrepreneurs.
Trish:We have to support one another.
Trish:Come find me on Instagram @iamtrishware, and tell me, what are your four locations?
Trish:Like, what are your four locations that you're showing up?
Trish:DM me, I wanna know where you're showing up.
Trish:All right, friend, that was your cosmic slap on the booty for this week.
Trish:Stay in the game, stay consistent, and go sell your offer.
Trish:When you sell your offer, it sells.
Trish:Okay, bye for now.
